Trash Questions

1.   The prison was filled with cages, barley big enough for a short man to stand in. These cages went on for what seemed like forever to the boys, they were stacked far up high on top of one another. Olivia says it was like a hell, because of the many skinny, worn out, and starving bodies of the children imprisoned there. Raphael says that the reason they are even there is because his auntie had to admit to the police, “Raphael found something”.

2.    Gabriel Olondriz is the grandfather of Jose Angelico, the mysterious man who Olivia had known through her previous job. Olondriz and the kids meet at the Prison when Olivia, Gardo, Raphael, and Rat are taken into custody.

3.   About Rat’s home at the dumpsite and  the fact that his housing is so poor that he sleeps with the rats. Rat does not consider himself too poor though because hiding among all the rubbish is 2,326 pesos, what Rat calls his "going away fund. Rat keeps his money a secret, collecting money so that one day when he has saved enough he can go home.

4.  The gardener tells Raphael and Rat how Jose Angelico stole the money from the senator. The Senator told Jose to sell his fridge and order a new one, but when the deliverers begin to take the fridge away Jose tells them to leave it where they found it. After that no one had seen Jose and the story goes that he hid 6 million dollars in the fridge.

5.  I would take the first million and buy my mother the house she has always wanted in Manchester, Vermont. Then I would give 10,000 dollars to the Make a Wish foundation, so I can help kinds. Then I would  buy Nuble Lighthouse for my meena.
